These answers cover pricing, planning, music preferences, payment, and cancellation details.
What areas do you serve?
Alex serves Toronto and Muskoka, with event details confirmed after the booking request is sent.
What is the minimum booking?
The minimum booking is 2 hours. The quote form lets you select from 2 to 10 DJ hours.
How is pricing calculated?
DJ time is $200 per hour, transportation is $100 per hour of round-trip driving, equipment is $100 if needed, lighting is a flat package fee, smoke machine is $100, and optional pre-event meetings are $100 per hour.
Can I send music preferences?
Yes. The booking form includes must-play and do-not-play sections so Alex can prepare around the sound you want.
Do you provide equipment?
Yes. If the venue or client does not provide equipment, a $100 equipment fee is included in the estimate.
What equipment do you use?
Alex's setup can include a Pioneer DJ XDJ-AZ, two JBL PartyBox 320 speakers, two JBL PartyBox 110 speakers, a Shure SM58 wired microphone, and Betopper LPC007 LED par lights.
Do you offer lighting?
Yes. Basic lighting includes 2 fixtures for $100. Full lighting includes 4 fixtures for $200. A smoke machine can be added for $100.
How do payments work?
Payment is accepted by cash or e-transfer only. The booking form includes a required acknowledgement before submission.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before the event. If cancelled within that window, 30% of the estimated cost is due.
